At Long Last Loved Getting Out

They say "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait". Well, I waited, and it was . . . . pretty good. It would have been better if I had someone to share it with, but I got out and that's the important thing.

Getting the house to myself is always the hardest part, and that I did. Which allowed me to get ready at my leisure.  I got home from work at 5 and started the Julie-fication Process.

The Outfit Of The Evening

I ultimately changed shoes - and hair - before going out.  As we are now a 1 car household I was relegated to the bus and walking. Not that I don't like those transportation methods, but it does limit my options for where to go.

Just another lady on the bus

My neighbor - a friend but very conservative - was not at home, so walking out the front door wasn't a problem. To the bus stop, then to one of our newer shopping areas - Kendall Yards. I wasn't sure what time places closed there on a Thursday, but I took my chances.

Turns out most of the shops closed at 6 -- not too convenient. But it was a cool(er) evening and there was a nice breeze, which all made for a pleasant night to walk amongst the civilians.

I wish there was something exciting to report on, but it was an uneventful experience. That is, until I took the bus home again.  I wanted a snack, so I got off at a different stop and walked to the convenience store on the corner. As I walked back to my house, I purposefully came down the opposite side of the street so I could scope out if Conservative Neighbor was home yet.  He was, and was working in his front yard. So I strolled on by to the corner, then circled back.  He was positioned on his porch facing MY porch.
~~ sigh ~~

So I took another lap.

The story's getting long, so here's another photo!

As I made my second approach - still on the opposite side of the street - I saw that he was no longer on his porch. I couldn't tell where he was, but I took the chance. I walked right up my front steps, key at the ready, and went in. I have to admit my heart was pumping a bit faster as I settled in with my Hostess Cupcakes and milk.

So, that's the story of how Julie ended quite a dry spell and was actually Out And About once again.  Hopefully the next one will be a little more exciting for you, dear reader.

Until then, Stay Safe And Pretty, Sweeties.
