The Ever Expanding Wardrobe

When a gal is out and about, enjoying coffee time with friends or just doing the grocery shopping, the biggest danger is venturing into a clothing shop! My clothing budget is only so big - and that has to cover wardrobes for BOTH of us - so when I spot a pretty little dress a MAJOR conflict is ignited. Take THIS litle number, for example. I spotted it on the rack at a Ross Dress For Less. It caught my attention for a few reasons. It's a wrap around (I don't own one of those) It fit into all my Style Requirements (long sleeves,classy design) Marked down from $80 to $10 (how could I say no!) Since restrictions on changing rooms at clothing stores have lifted, I was at least able to try it on before buying.
I must admit, I am STILL on the fence about it. I don't often do this, but I solicit YOUR opinions. Please comment below - Keep It or Pitch It? I anxiously await the verdict. Until the votes are in - and even afterwards - Stay Safe And Pretty, Sweeties. P. S. - I have decided that I DO NOT like the new format "Blogger" has imposed on these Blogs. I cannot format it how I like, I seem to be at the mercy of how THEY think my photos and type style should be. I can't even insert paragraphs!!!-- sigh --

Funny how a random comment or reference can trigger a memory. That happened to me this morning.   I was reminded of the Halloween in my Jr year of high school when I decided to be "a hooker" and enlisted the VERY willing help of a female friend, Alice. It was mostly her wardrobe, and I have vague memories of exactly what I was wearing. I went to her house the week prior to select the "costume". She had laid out 4 or 5 dresses for me to try.  The first one was perfect, but that didn't stop me from wanting to try on all the others. Her mother, who was assisting, commented that I was enjoying my little fashion show. Alice supplied the shoes as well - good thing we were the same size - and I told her I'd take care of the undergarments. Blog Entey #130! - Where Everbody Wants To Know Your Name

  Blog Entry #130 - who-da thunk it!  I don't think I've done 130 of many other things, but here I am - Blog #130.  Feel free to look back and enjoy any of the previous 129 articles, I know I will. But for now, here we go . . .  I was able to get out last week (finally!) for a few hours. I planned some shopping, both necessities and clothes browsing.  I also planned to end the evening at Applebee's for a glass of wine and a snack.   I questioned the purple with the red, but I think it works I managed to NOT buy anything (other than the necssities) so I was REALLY looking forward to the wine. I pulled into Applebee's parking lot and it was packed. Honestly, when I see that, my first reaction is to NOT go in. Too many people, too many opportunities for being "read". Brief Encounter - Lasting Impression

  OK - have to share this story because I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I was on my lunch break the other day (I work in drab) and popped into Mod Pizza. There in line in front of me was a young couple - I'm guessing early 20's. And she was . . . a Julie. I first noticed that her red shoulder length hair was too perfect, She was wearing a pretty floral dress (even downtown during the work day, a little over dressed) fucia sling back pumps and a matching fucia wrist bag, and a nice tan top coat over it all. She caught my attention, so I observed closely. Her voice was pitched high, but maybe too high. Her hands were not large, but borderline "man hands". I took the step and complimented her on her cute bag. She looked at me (mask on) and said Thank You. Her eyes were smiling, but I could tell her brows were not being taken care of.
