Out And About Once Again - Finally!

Image
It has been FAR too long since Julie was actually Out and About.  So yesterday was SUCH a thrill on many levels.  My Dear Sister Friend, Sarah, offered to get together for a walk and coffee in the morning.  We both had masks, we were out in the open air, and we had such a WONDERFUL talk!   Sipping and chatting - but you can see our masks were present when not sipping It had been so long, we had a lot of catching up to do.  We spent 2 hours walking and talking and reveling in each other's presence.  I think we both needed the time together.  At one point, Sarah paid me a wonderful compliment and I surprised myself when I got rather emotional!  It has been a VERY long time. Later in the day, I did some shopping - for some necessities and some non-necessities.  :) Treating myself to some fun clothes Filling the pantry After returning home, I indulged in some photos for future "I Love Dressing" Memes. Lighting was poor Sank into the sofa! Un...

When We Last Saw Our Heroine . . .

"Kendra" had recently come out to her and asked if I could talk to her about it all.  I was invited to their house for dinner and we had a wonderful chat.  By the end of the evening, the wife was visibly at ease with Kendra and I being there.  She even suggested making...

Mood Swings and Friendships

I know this about myself - I have a bad habit of getting myself excited about an event that is just being discussed in the EARLIEST of planning stages. Then, when the plan changes, or looks like it won't be feasible to actually do it, I get all depressed about a "missed opportunity".  This happened to me this past week. My previous post discussed a POSSIBLE trip to Leavenworth, WA with the girls.  I failed to factor in the truth that not EVERYONE has a totally open and flexible schedule like I do.  When this became evident, I got depressed.  I then made the grave mistake of expressing my disappointment on Facebook in a rather cryptic way. My dear, DEAR friends Sarah and Linda immediately jumped in to put out the fire.  They were supportive, loving, and right there with options to fix it.  Our Week Of Fun will still happen, just with a different plan of attack.  Julie is now a happy girl again, and a very appreciative one.  Friends - true,...
