Julie - Out and About

  I've been away from home most of the summer - mid-June to early August - and unable to enjoy any "Julie Time". Partly because most of my wardrobe was in Spokane, and partly because Florida in July is WAY too hot for a wig! I got home over a week ago, and FINALLY had a day out! It was a Sunday, and since my SO had the car I was relegated to the bus. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy using public transportation. It allows for more interaction with the world. However, it does make scheduling a bit tricky. But that's half the fun! "Is that woman staring at me? I hope so!" I bused to downtown with a planned stop or two, but also wanted to just enjoy being out. First stop was my favorite bookstore. (actually the ONLY locally owned bookstore in town) I had a gift card and needed to see how much was still on it. Turns out, not nearly enough to buy anything, but that doesn't stop a gal from browsing. Do I really need more books? (do I really need more air?) R...

  It may come as news to some of you, but I am an actor. Me in a Murder Mystery Comedy Also possible news to some of you, but I present as male in my daily life. I was in rehearsal for a show, and as usually happens we were in casual conversation in the Green Room. A fellow actor was commiserating about becoming a middle aged woman. I replied (humorously) that I wasn't having that problem. She then responded (seriously), "I've seen your theater photos, You've been one of us all along. At least an honor ary member of the club. You look great as a middle aged woman." Interacting with a shy audience member I was on Cloud 9!   🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 All this to say that we are not the best judges of how we present.   I was recently asked why I don't write about issues, or opinions, or existential stuff.  Why is my Blog all about the play by play of my travels. Well, just look at the title of the Blog ----- JULIE - OUT AND ABOUT Nuff said. Now, back to our story . . .  Today's excursion was unexciting (especially since I was alone - but I won't harp on THAT any more in this installment) but it did have a highlight. OOD - casual and comfy I needed mascara so I hit CVS. No major interactions with anyone, just in and out. Then to the Mall (yes, I still go to the Mall) for some walking around. I find that, since retiring, I need to get out and walk more. Where better than the Mall. You never know WHO you're going to run into The Mall is open for walking at 9, but the shops don't open until 11. So I did some window shopping - or window TREATMENT shopping. I've been accused of being cheeky, but not like this My soft wear could stand some updating The need for coffee kicked in, so...
