Julie's Final Outings --- for now

Image
Don't Panic!  (hey, it worked for Douglas Adams) Let me explain. No, there's no time - let me sum up. (William Goldman) I will be hitting the road at the end of the week - out of town work that will take me thru January 5th.  But it will mean that Julie will stay home as the other guy traverses the country.   Toward that end, I was able to take 2 very good outings this past week.  On Thursday I had a night out.  Wandering the Mall Finding some light reading for my trip As well as a test drive for my new Red Coat I wanted to get REALLY dressed up, so this night that included my fingers. IMPRESS nails - in 10 years I've only had one fall off The biggest disappointment was that I was - again - alone. Then came Saturday, and I was able to fall back into my "semi-regular" Saturday morning routine. Starting with breakfast at Golden Corral. Casual Saturday Wardrobe I was greeted with a smile by the cashier at the front. Sweet gal, and I complimented her nec...

Who Was That Lady?

Image
For those of you still using Facebook, you know it can be a rather interesting forum. Questions get posed, statements made, arguments inflamed. Recently I posted one of my "I Love Dressing" Memes that stated, "I'm a straight male. I just have a feminine side, and I'm really comfortable with that". A friend asked me to elaborate on that statement, so I composed this response to him. I hope this not only informs but possibly assists someone who may be going through a similar journey. " As you pointed out, I said I identify as a Hetero Male To Female Crossdresser. By this, I mean I am a genetic male, attracted to genetic females. You asked if I was also attracted to trans women - that gets difficult to reply to. I am married and faithful, so I wouldn't have sexual relations with anyone other than my Darling Wife. I have never found myself (knowingly) attracted to a trans woman. However, I do appreciate the female form and figure. As I tell people to w...

Answering The Age Old Question -- "Why Bother"

Image
Since folks tend to bypass blogs without pix, I thought I'd begin with a smiling, happy photo and then go on from there. OK, let's get started. I know depression comes and goes. I know emotions can be helpful AND hurtful. And I know my circumstance is importnt to me but not necessarily to everyone else. I know all that. That doesn't change the fact that I can be ruled by my emotions. But to keep your attention, I will post another photo. Ever notice that everything at Victoria's Secret is size 8 and smaller?? It's been 2 months since my last post. Why? Because I haven't done anything worth chatting about. Yes, I manage to get out once every week or so, but it's always the same thing. Grab a bite to eat, do the weekly grocery shopping, and . . . . . not much else. Oh wait, I DID manage to get to the museum a few weeks back. Spokane hosted a World's Fair 50 years ago Liberace performed here, in this costume Yeah, that was a fun night - kinda.   Anyway, get...

He Made My Day!

Image
I had a few hours to get out this afternoon, and I was looking forward to it, especially since I don't care two bits about "sports ball".  So I got all dolled up in my best weather appropriate outfit - black tights and pumps, black pencil skirt, hot pink top and 3/4 sleeve jacket.  I added a coat, grabbed my bag and headed out. Absolultley nothing to report initially -- a stop at the ATM, then Dollar Tree (Always Panty Liners pack of 40 for $1.25 - who can resist!), Walmart (needed some make up) and then a snack.  It turns out the closest eattery of my choice (Perkins) is closed!  Gone!! Kaput!!!  Too bad, the staff there were ALWAYS friendly and complimentary. So I went to the next closest - Denny's. I was in the mood for pie and coffee, so Denny's it is. I walked in, it wasn't too busy, and the server at the counter was cashing someone out and said he'd be right with me. He was a late 20's guy named Daniel. He took me to a booth ("Is a booth O...

Office Worries - Not CV, But CD

Image
I have been working in a law office for 5 months now (in drab mode, unfortunately).  After adjusting to the schedule and duties, I realized the biggest difficulty in the office would be all the ladies there who dress for business.  There are a half dozen who have incredible fashion sense - and it makes me SO jealous!  How I would adore walking through the halls in a nice business suit with a pencil skirt, listening to my heels click clack on the hardwood floors. I can even type 50 WPM with long nails! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to dress how I want where I want - but to hold this job I must conform.  Even though (I think) I would look better than half the other ladies! ~~giggle~~ After Hours Cocktail Anyone? For Casual Friday So, I must remain not only frustrated, but also silent.  You see, I have found that a hetero male complimenting a woman on her outfit gets - - - very MIXED responses.  So as much as I'd like to discuss wardrob...

About Being Out

Image
I spent the week out of town (a business trip - I was very thankful for the work!)  Which also meant I had my evenings free for Girl Time.  The biggest problems with this trip were; A) my work obligations kept me busy til various times - some days I'd be done by 3:30, others by 7.  {The Western Washington town I was in is a small one. Not much is open after 8PM except Wal*mart and Denny's} And 2) I was alone. I decided to make the most of it. Day One:  Finished work at 7, got back to my hotel to change and made it to a late movie - AVENGERS INFINITY WAR Fun Film!   Day Two saw my shift over at 3:30, which allowed me time to enjoy some of the Outlet Stores in the next town over.  I hit the Leggs/Haines/Bali store and had to educate the young lady working there, Sheri, about Long Line Bras, but eventually she understood what I was looking for. Sheri gave me a few options and checked me into a changing room After making my selection (the whit...
