On The Bar Stool Again, Gee It's Great To Be On The Bar Stool Again

What's harder than typing with long nails? Keeping Impress Press-On Nails on your thumbs! I have been impressed with the press on nails from Impress. (rightly so, you'd think) In all the years I have been wearing them (7? 10? 13?) I have only ever had one drop off.  One. O-N-E! Until this week.   The difficult thing about these (and ANY) press on's is the thumbs.  Male thumbs are bigger than female, so they don't offer nails that actually fit my gargantuan thumbs.  In a pack of 30 there are usually 2 that work, another 2 that MIGHT work, and that's it.  Well, this past week I was out on Monday night after work and by 9PM I had managed to lose both thumb nails.  Both. B-O-T-H! Thankfully I wasn't trying to impress (there it is again) anyone, and Mikie the Bartender was very kind about it.  She is one of three bartenders at the Applebee's in Chehalis WA that have welcomed me with open arms on my last 3 trips to this tiny town. Brief Encounter - Lasting Impression

OK - have to share this story because I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I was on my lunch break the other day (I work in drab) and popped into Mod Pizza. There in line in front of me was a young couple - I'm guessing early 20's. And she was . . . a Julie. I first noticed that her red shoulder length hair was too perfect, She was wearing a pretty floral dress (even downtown during the work day, a little over dressed) fucia sling back pumps and a matching fucia wrist bag, and a nice tan top coat over it all. She caught my attention, so I observed closely. Her voice was pitched high, but maybe too high. Her hands were not large, but borderline "man hands". I took the step and complimented her on her cute bag. She looked at me (mask on) and said Thank You. Her eyes were smiling, but I could tell her brows were not being taken care of. On my way out with my salad, I passed her as they waited for their pizzas. I stepped up again and told her I liked he...

OK - it's been far too long, so here's all the rest of the week!! (Pardon any typing errorrrrss.) The rest of the week simply consisted of me going shopping and eating.  **Photo Essay!!** Headed Out for a drink Nails Are Perfect (better than the fingers) New Outfit -- New Day.  Going Down.   You can always count on Walmart for late night shopping.   OK - this dress IS going to be worn outside a room sometime in my life.  I just don't feel confident enough to wear it outside -- yet. Next -- a night with my Sister Friends!!! Stay safe and pretty, Sweeties.

Really Out And About

Typing in nails - no easy task I had the occasion to travel out of town on business for 5 days and of course packed plenty of pretty things for a night or two of dining or hitting the outlet malls.  I did both. This is a small coastal Washington town that I frequently visit on business, and this time I was determined to actually spend some pretty time out with people.  Since I know no one here (other than the folk I do business with) I am relegated to shopping and dining alone.  In the past, this has made me VERY apprehensive about going out.  But armed with the new found confidence and self determination that has been instilled in me by my Dear Sister Friends (you know who you are!) (YES - it's Sarah and Linda!!!) I made a plan and followed through. After checking in at the hotel, I got pretty. This town has two LARGE outlet malls, so I started there.  Into the Hanes Store looking for a long line bra - and not my usual "sneak in and look around, t...
