Joni Mitchell Was Right

"Don't It Always Seem To Go That You Don't Know What You've Got Til It's Gone" Being under lock down has been hard.  Now, I think I'm one of the fortunate ones in that my job was considered essential (enough) that I have been going to the office every day since this all started.   But my job is in "Boy Mode", so while I have been getting out of the house every day, Julie has not. So I took some time on Saturday to get all pretty for no reason other than Getting Pretty.  Didn't get together with my Sister Friends, didn't go anywhere, didn't even step out the door onto the porch!  However, the effects of the session were tangible.  I had not been sleeping well for about 3 weeks.  Never felt relaxed, or de-stressed.  After a 3 hour session of "Pampering", I had the most restful night's sleep in a LONG time.  Funny how that works! The Ladies Who Brunch

"Here's to the Ladies who lunch . . . everybody rise!"  I am headed out of town for 2 months (actually, at this posting, I am already out of town) so we tried to have a Sister Friends get together before I hit the trail. The Ladies of Sister Friends - the number keeps growing! The hardest decision was - as usual - what to wear!  The week prior I had selected a number of outfits, narrowed it down to 3 by Friday night, and then finally selected one early Saturday morning.  I did feel slightly over dressed in hose and heels but I didn't care - I was very...

Fiddling In The Kitchen

Image
Playing  in the Pantry Spent most of yesterday in the kitchen -- cooking, of course. I was planning meals for the week and made a few different dishes - not the least being my favorite Breakfast Muffins.  Eggs, cheese, veggies, some ground beef - a complete meal in a muffin. Making Muffins I also whipped up a meat loaf, sautéed some sausages, and indulged myself in one of my guilty pleasures - - - -  Mac and Cheese! Cap it all off with a nice cup of tea (or 4), and it was a wonderful day. Bon Appetite!  Stay safe and pretty, Sweeties!
