Blog Post #170! And a Special Event

Image
Wow - 170 posts. And I had a wonderful experience to report on, too. One of the hardest things for a crossdresser to do is interact with cis women out in public. The fears and insecurities pile up - will she clock me? Will she make a scene? Will she simple accept me for who I am? This fear was put to the test yesterday. OOTD I had to take the bus to run an errand or two, and since it was Monday morning I went with the "Office Gal" look.  I walked to the bus stop - a different one than I usually take. There was a woman sitting there waiting for the bus, so I stood slightly behind her. She immediately turned to me to ask about the bus schedule. Making a long story short, it turns out there was a detour on this route and the stop we were at was "Closed". We had to walk about 6 blocks to another stop, which meant some real conversation. If she did register that I was a "guy in a dress", she never showed it. She asked my name, shared her story, and we hit it of...

It's Been Far Too Long

Usually I have something to write about at least every other week. But as I look here I see my last entry was over 2 months ago!  YIKES! So I feel obligated to write an entry - even though absolutely NOTHING has happened in the past 2 months.  Nothing. Zip. Nada. So, how about a photo dump? And so, until next time . . .

Skirting The Issue - Blog #150

Image
Blog #150.  I never thought I'd make it this far. Sticking with a task for more than a week is a challenge for me, let alone writing 150 entries in a Blog. It makes me feel like a success, like a person of accomplishment, like someone who is trying to come up with an ACTUAL topic for this monumental entry instaed of just shooting the bull to fill the page. But I digress - this entry DOES have a topic, as is suggested by the title. Skirting The Issue. I managed to get out last Saturday after a LOOONNNGGG drought of Julie Time. The first challenge was, as always, choosing an outfit. It's Saturday morning, I'm going to have breakfast at my favorite Saturday Morning Breakfast Place - Golden Corral Buffet - then do some shopping for "necessary female items". So, do I go with leggings and try to blend in, or do I go with a skirt because my "Guy Side" wears pants every day and skirts feel so good? OOD - my favorite comfy skirt This one shows the ACTUAL color ...

Happy Halloween - or - Come Fly With Me

Image
I started a new job back in April - working at a law firm as "Support Staff". Pretty much keeping the office running while everyone else does legal stuff.  And in male drab mode, of course. This firm likes to party, so when word went out 2 weeks ago about the Halloween Day Costume Contest, I was intrigued. My previous employer(s) never paid much attention to Halloween. So I spoke with HR to find out what, if any, guidelines there were for the costumes. Family Friendly was all I got, but I did learn that first prize was a $100 Amazon Gift Card. I jokingly (yeah, right) said if I wanted to win I should come in drag. Her response was, "If you can work the day like that, I'm OK with it." So now the challenge began. I didn't want to just put on a dress, but I also didn't want to go "Full Julie". A day or so later I was chating with our receptionist and I learned she'd been a flight attendant back in the 80's and 90's. BINGO - that was ...
