Skirting The Issue - Blog #150

Blog #150.

I never thought I'd make it this far.

Sticking with a task for more than a week is a challenge for me, let alone writing 150 entries in a Blog. It makes me feel like a success, like a person of accomplishment, like someone who is trying to come up with an ACTUAL topic for this monumental entry instaed of just shooting the bull to fill the page.

But I digress - this entry DOES have a topic, as is suggested by the title. Skirting The Issue.

I managed to get out last Saturday after a LOOONNNGGG drought of Julie Time. The first challenge was, as always, choosing an outfit. It's Saturday morning, I'm going to have breakfast at my favorite Saturday Morning Breakfast Place - Golden Corral Buffet - then do some shopping for "necessary female items". So, do I go with leggings and try to blend in, or do I go with a skirt because my "Guy Side" wears pants every day and skirts feel so good?

OOD - my favorite comfy skirt

This one shows the ACTUAL color of the top

So off I went to breakfast. I got there as they opened, so there was a line of folks entering. And of course it was a Veteran's Group - about 20 or so older men and I was in line in the literal middle of the group. The man immediately behind me was wearing a kilt, so I felt a LITTLE better about being there. (lol) There were one or two wives (I assume) with them, and no one gave me a second look.  I got to my table and the server asked, "Coffee with cream, right?" (I absolutely LOVE it when that happens!) Breakfast continued without an issue.

Next stop - Dollar Tree

I know I'll get flack for this, but I buy my lotion and make up wipes at Dollar Tree. As well as Always Pads (40 light pads for $1.25 - can't beat it) And again, no mobs with pitchforks and torches. Just a gal doing some shopping and not bothering anyone. There was one lady with a little girl in tow - maybe 5 or 6 years old - and the kid gave me a bit of a look, but I think that was because I was in the toy aisle at the time and she wanted to get at the rack I was in front of.

Next, Ross Dress For Less. But these days it's not as less as I'd like.

I can't resist a mirror shot.

A girl's best friend is good shapewear! (giggle)

I spent way too much time there, but hardly any money. I did find a very cute dress that I liked, but it only came in a small. The curse of being a "full figured lady".

The day ended and I managed to get home without any incidents, so all in all it was a Grand Morning Out. Which is good, because with future committments and schedules I don't see another one of these happening any time soon. ~~sigh~~

I hope you all can accomplish 150 of something, even if it's only Oreos. Until next time, Stay Safe And Pretty, Sweeties.
