Brief Encounter - Lasting Impression

  OK - have to share this story because I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I was on my lunch break the other day (I work in drab) and popped into Mod Pizza. There in line in front of me was a young couple - I'm guessing early 20's. And she was . . . a Julie. I first noticed that her red shoulder length hair was too perfect, She was wearing a pretty floral dress (even downtown during the work day, a little over dressed) fucia sling back pumps and a matching fucia wrist bag, and a nice tan top coat over it all. She caught my attention, so I observed closely. Her voice was pitched high, but maybe too high. Her hands were not large, but borderline "man hands". I took the step and complimented her on her cute bag. She looked at me (mask on) and said Thank You. Her eyes were smiling, but I could tell her brows were not being taken care of. Look Who I Almost Bumped Into

I have been out the last 2 afternoon/evenings solo — visiting a local casino, a restaurant, and a few shops – and it got me thinking about past “Close Calls”. You know, those times when you were out dressed to the nines and saw a friend or work associate who doesn’t know about your “softer side”. I have faced that close call a few times, but it was usually with a Girl Friend or 2 by my side. Grocery Stores are usually tricky places The first time was at our local casino.  We were headed to the bar when one of the ladies with me (Sarah) stopped in her tracks and turned to me, blocking the aisle.  She had seen a couple we both knew and positioned herself between me and them until they passed. (Had they seen her, I’m sure they would have approached us, but thankfully they didn’t)  "Galentines Day" 2017 The exact same incident took place at a restaurant, this time with 3 GF’s, and watchful Sarah stepped in and ran interference again. A while ago I started a feature on my FB page -- the "I Love Dressing" Meme Of The Day.  I started collecting them from the Interwebs some time back, but then was challenged to create my own.  Finding photos that were appropriate for the captions was tricky, but I think I managed some successes.
