My Favorite Things

In addition to writing a Blog myself, I follow a few. The one that got me started down this path is Femulate by Stana (http://www.femulate.org), a combination of insights, How To's, history, and inspiration.  I occasionally share some of her best stuff (with permission, of course) and this one struck a chord with me. It sums up my feelings when Julie is being her full self - as well as an answer to the question "Why do I crossdress"

MY FAVORITE THINGS by Stana

Smoothing the back of my skirt as I sit down.

Pencil skirts.

Crossing my legs and letting a high-heel pump dangle from the tip of my stockinged foot.

Carrying a purse—my purse.

Taking a compact from it to touch up my makeup.

Wearing high heels.

Hearing the click of those heels as I walk.

Being called “Ma’am.”

Better yet… being called “Miss.”

Wrap dresses.

A complete stranger stopping to say, “I like your dress,” or compliment something else I’m wearing.

Shopping in a clothing store that opens a dressing room just for me—and displays my name on the door.

Shopping, period.

When a man holds the door open for me.

Dangly earrings.

Lipstick.

Admiring glances.

My shaved legs.

A scarf draped just right.

And realizing that when I present as a woman, it comes so naturally I don’t have to think about it at all.

I Enjoy Being A Girl

Stana expresses my feelings as well, but as to WHY do I enjoy these things? I may never have an answer to that question. Until I do, I will continue to slip into silks and satins and click my way down the hardwood floors of life.

Stay Safe And Pretty, Sweeties.

  2. My favorite thing is becoming a woman—very fragrant and feminine.
Ah, how I love, love, love dressing up! It’s who I truly am.
But it’s so hard to absorb feminine mannerisms—the walk, the gestures, the posture…
I’m always learning—that’s the price you pay.
It’s worth it, because life is more fun dressed as a girl.

    1. First, thank you for following my blog, Sweetie.
I am an actor - by profession and by passion - so adopting feminine gestures, mannerisms, posture, etc has been easy for me. It's just like preparing a stage character. But my motivation to be as feminine as possible really helps! The fact that you want to present as feminine will get you there faster - just keep trying. Don't give up. Watch women and make note of what they do/say that makes them feminine. Feel free to ask anything, Sweetie.
