The Drought Is Over, And I'm Still Thursty

My outfit on Jan 2!

To help you catch up - I was working on the road from October 18 thru January 1. Due to the circumstances of the job, Julie stayed at home for that time. It was he longest "forced pause" I've ever experienced, and after 2 weeks I started feeling it. I got home on New Years Day, and wasted little time in getting my silks and satins out of storage.

I also got to work planning a Sister Friends gathering. (Footnote - the name Sister Friends was coined for our group many years ago. Since then, the membership has grown and changed)  The appointed day for our Brunch Reunion was approaching, so I got to the task at hand - selecting an outfit.

This is usually us - and I am always the one on the right!

So I started going through the closet to pick out my wardrobe. Feminine but not too fancy, girly but not to frilly, something I haven't been able to wear for the past 3 months.

This is what I went with

Three of us carpooled to the restaurant, meeting the newest Sister Friend there - Jeremy. (He was thrilled to be counted among the Sisters!)

Sarah, Jeremy, Moi, and Christy

The restaurant was still Christmas-y, so we took full advantage. The food was good, the conversation was GREAT, and the time spent Out and About was . . . . emotional. (I almost cried a few times). I hadn't realized just how much I had missed my Julie Time - and the SF's were supportive. Our discussions were uplifting, encouraging, and FUNNY! (after she snapped this photo, Sarah commented that my boobs were looking good - I couldn't disagree!)

Here's to Friends - to self expression - and to being bolder in who I am and in sharing it with the world, one on one or in large groups.

Stay Safe And Pretty, Sweeties.
