Street Walking - and shopping and snacking . . .

You look forward to getting out.

The plans for the morning are formulated.

You start the process.

And then . . .

Selecting the wardrobe is always the MOST time consuming portion. Being a Friday morning, I went with "office worker running a few errands on her way to work". My foundation garments are always the most difficult process, since I usually get everything padded, tucked, squeezed and supported --- and then need to pee!

April in Spokane - a light jacket is needed first thing in the morning.

My Plan - our library was having a book sale, I had a check to deposit into my account, shopping at Dollar Tree, and I wanted to get a snack at Applebee's.

The execution, however, was far from smooth!

The Book Sale: It was pleasant enough. I browsed the tables for quite a while, maneuvering through the crowd to check out the books, CDs, and DVDs. I found nothing that captured my attention, and I don't think I captured anyone else's attention, so I did what a gal like me usually does . . . Photo Op!

The library is next to a very pretty park/aquatic center/high school

The Credit Union: I pulled up to the ATM to deposit the check. My account is in my guy name, so Julie tries to avoid using the lobby tellers. (for context, read the post where I had no choice but to enter the lobby - https://juliemshaw.blogspot.com/2022/03/boldly-going-where-she-hasnt-gone-before.html) So, I'm at the AMT and it refuses to accept my check for deposit. Refuses! I put it in the slot 2 or 3 different times, turning it this way and that, but it said "Nope!". Since I had to get this check deposited, I had no choice.

There were 2 men at the counter as I entered, with a gorgeous beagle puppy on a leash. The pup was very curious, but the men didn't give me a second look. They left, and I stepped into the fray. The teller, a young guy, was very kind and helpful. He got the check deposited and couldn't see what may have caused the difficulty. I was out of there with no sirens, no alarms, no torches and pitchforks.

The Snack: By then, I was feeling peckish. It had been QUITE a while since I frequented my favorite watering hole in North Spokane.

Where everybody knows -- well, where SOMEbody knows my name

I got there just as they opened for the day. I didn't recognize the hostess, but she greeted me with a genuine smile as I requested a bar table. I placed my coat there and went to the Ladies Room. As I approached it, a server came around the corner and greeted me with, "Julie! It's been a while." Ain't nothin' better!

After a strawberry lemonade and some mozarella sticks, it was off to the next stop.

The Dollar Tree: I was in need of some supplies that are just as good from DT as they are from Target, but infinitely cheaper! As is usually the case, I didn't find what I was looking for, but came away with 2 items anyway. I bought a new brand of pantyhose (c'mon, Queen Size hose for $1.25! How could I refuse?) to check out the quality and durability. I'll keep you posted.

Pantyhose in hand, headed for the check out

Honestly, all this sounds a tad boring, doesn't it? But it just felt SOOO wonderful to be out among the people again. The only thing that could have made it MORE thrilling for me would have been having someone to share it with.

Until next time - Stay Safe And Pretty, Sweeties.
